About

Who I am and how I build.

Rohit K. Shaw

I write firmware for machines that are not allowed to fail quietly.

I am a Firmware Developer Intern at Anedya Systems, where I ported libpeer to the Beken BK7258 so the chip does real WebRTC. Before that I wrote stripper controller firmware for an 18 MeV medical cyclotron at the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, and built KryOS, a Buildroot Linux distribution that watches vaccine cold storage on a Raspberry Pi 4.

The common thread is recovery. Getting code to work is the easy half. Getting it to come back after a stuck I2C line, a dead node, or an hour with no network is the actual job.

Most of what I know came from breaking something on a bench and reading the datasheet afterwards.
